Does Apple race in Cars 3?

In Cars 3, Apple makes several cameo appearances. There's a stock car racer sponsored by Apple at the very beginning of the movie, and then, he's replaced by the next generation Apple racer. Jim Scavenger made a custom stock car Apple racer based on the picture from the Art of Cars 3 book and the movie.

What happened to Apple racers in Cars 3?

In Cars 3, a new Apple racer is seen competing in the 2016 Piston Cup season, but they get fired and is replaced by a next-generation racer named J.P. Drive midway through the season.

Who is Mac ICAR in Cars 3?

The stock car Apple racer in Cars 3 is the only veteran to not have an official name revealed. The reason why Mac iCar was available exclusively in a 36-car Motor Speedway of the South box set, and never saw any other releases since, is most likely due to licensing issues with Apple.
